Thesis: The birth order of children in large families can affect the development of kids and how they live their lives can be shown through the conflict theory, symbolic interaction theory, and the functionalist theory.

Thesis Statement: Due to gay adoption the family unit has declined and it can be shown by the functionalist theory, conflict theory and symbolic interactionism theory.
Thesis statement: Further analysis on living with a single parent can be seen through three perspectives: Conflict Theory, Functionalism, and Symbolic Interactionism. So far I have looked in my books to find a summarization of the views of each perspective to refresh it into my mind. I have found statistics on single parent living. Women are more likely to be the head of the families with single parent living and I found out why. Also I have found out some effects of single parent households on kids.

Thesis statement ideas: --The effects of divorce on society can be viewed through different aspects according to the perspective of conflict theorists, functionalists, and symbolic interactionists. --Divorce affects society in a variety of ways, many of which coincide/are explained further in the perspectives of conflict theorists, functionalists, and symbolic interactionists.
Information: still in the process of researching; found that there are aspects in the perspectives that deal slightly with the children involved in divorce, however they are not the sole focus therefore I will be looking at a more broad subject in how each perspective talks about the effects of divorce on society.
Thesis statement: Family units in the media have changed throughout the years, from the families in "Father Knows Best," to "The Fresh Prince in Bel-Air," and then to "Two and a Half Men," and can be represented by the three sociological perspectives.
Information: The years the each of the shows aired. The basic understanding of the tv show plot and the characters/families in the show. How some viewers perceived the families in the shows.

Thesis: Obesity is more prevalent with lower income individuals and can be analyzed by the three sociological perspectives of the Conflict Theory, the Functionalist Theory and the Symbolic Interactionist Theory.
Conflict Theory: Thinner members of society segregate against obese individuals in the workplace which in turn keeps them in poverty.
Symbolic Interactionists: There is a stigmatization of obese individuals. They are often ridiculed and treated as less than thinner individuals.
Functionalism: I wasn't sure about this one yet but I was thinking that Functionalists view obesity as the problem of the obese individual and that it is survival of the fittest in the workplace. A thinner person is better capable of performing the necessary tasks and so they get the jobs over obese individuals.
Thesis Statement: This paper will be addressing how the three theoretical perspectives apply to the effects of foster care on children, families, and society.

Thesis: The relationship between crime and poverty can be analyzed differently by using each of the three sociological perspectives: functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism.
I have found that most experts think there is a connection because a lot of times high crime rates and high poverty rates occur in the same places. I found some journals and websites online that I want to read more to get more details and make connections to the three perspectives.
